I\’ve always been attracted to things that, for example, a normal child wouldn\’t be attracted to. A lot of kids just played with toys in their childhood. I know that toys also teach us how to behave and so on. Like animals, for example. I also had a hamster and a dwarf rabbit when I was a little girl. It\’s mostly because I didn\’t have any siblings and my parents told me that at least this way they would make up for my siblings. I was happy. Except that the hamster and rabbit entertained me until I was about eight or nine. After that, I liked other things, technical and electronic things.

Believe it or not, I was also fascinated by washing machines or refrigerators. I was simply into that, white technology. I always asked my parents how this worked and why it worked like this, why we didn\’t have such and such a fridge, or such and such a washing machine, and so on and so forth. I was just interested in this, I don\’t know why, but I was such a kid already. I was interested in it and then when I was in third grade my parents said if I wanted to, there was a tech club here in our town. Of course, I was really excited. I was jumping for joy, I really wanted this.

My parents said that not only technology was taught there, but also electronics and mechatronics. Of course, it wasn\’t anything educational, but it was geared towards the fact that this was something someone was interested in and wanted to get an education in electronics. Just as a hobby, that we might build robots and things like that. I was really in heaven. I thought that this kind of club, this kind of hobby club didn\’t exist and that I would never have the opportunity to experience something like this. I went there for about eight years. Before I moved to a different town for high school, but I still remember it fondly and I thought I might as well have some kind of a club for kids where I would do electronics as a hobby.
